Gamblin Cold Wax Medium a mixture of natural beeswax (wax pastilles), Gamsol and a small amount of alkyd resin.  Cold wax medium is a unique art material that, when mixed with oil paints, offers a range of effects and textures. Unlike traditional encaustic wax, which requires heat, cold wax medium can be applied at room temperature, making it accessible and easy to use for artists of all levels.

Gamblin recommends adding up to 1/3 Cold Wax Medium to 2/3 oil colors.
